Two-factor authentication
Kort antwoord
The second factor is a time-based one-time code (TOTP) from an authenticator app. Turn it on from your Profile page in Portal. Worldstream uses single sign-on, so this covers both worldstream.com and Portal with one login.
There is no separate "portal password" and no Worldstream-built two-factor system to configure. An identity provider handles the login itself, including multi-factor authentication (MFA). Portal shows you the status and gives you the entry point, but the setup screens belong to the identity provider, not to Worldstream.
With MFA on, signing in takes three things in this order: your e-mail address, your password, and then the current code from your authenticator app.
Turn on two-factor authentication
Log in to Portal
Go to portal.worldstream.com and sign in with your Worldstream SSO account.
Open your profile menu
Select the profile menu and choose Profile.
Check your MFA status
Your Profile page shows whether MFA is active. If it is not, start the setup from there. Portal sends you on to the identity provider's own screens.
Pair your authenticator app
Setting up TOTP works the same way everywhere: the setup screen shows a QR code, you scan it with an authenticator app, and you type the first six-digit code back to confirm. Any app that supports TOTP will do.
Test it once
Sign out and sign back in. You should be asked for your e-mail address, then your password, then a code. If the code step does not appear, MFA is not active yet.
Which methods are confirmed
Two: e-mail plus password, and TOTP from an authenticator app. Other methods, such as passkeys or a hardware security key, are not among the documented options. That is not the same as them being blocked, so if you need one, ask Support what your account can use. See Signing in to Portal and securing your account for the full picture.
Lost access to your MFA method?
Recovery runs through Support, not self-service. Open a support ticket in Portal and describe what you have lost access to.
If you cannot sign in at all, you cannot open a ticket in Portal either. E-mail support@worldstream.com instead, from the e-mail address on the account, and a ticket is opened for you.
