Worldstream provides the foundation for ITQ Cloud Platform: fully managed private cloud on dedicated hardware in the Netherlands

ITQ offers its managed private cloud platform on VMware Cloud Foundation, on Worldstream’s infrastructure and hardware in Naaldwijk.
Naaldwijk, the Netherlands, October 15, 2026. ITQ, a hybrid cloud specialist, and Worldstream, a Dutch cloud infrastructure provider, announce a partnership. ITQ offers its managed private cloud platform, the ITQ Cloud Platform, on Worldstream’s infrastructure and hardware. The platform runs on VMware Cloud Foundation and is fully managed. It is available to customers in the Netherlands starting today.
The division of roles is clear. Worldstream runs the network and the data centers in Naaldwijk, keeps hardware in stock at all times and scales the hardware up and down. In those data centers, the platform runs on dedicated hardware that is specific to the customer and not shared. ITQ builds the platform based on standard blueprints and manages it, including updates and upgrades. Customers keep their applications, their data and control.
Many organizations with a VMware environment face the same choice. Broadcom’s licensing models have changed, specialist expertise is scarce and hardware is getting more expensive. As a result, keeping a private cloud running in-house takes more time and money. The ITQ Cloud Platform is designed for organizations with a larger VMware environment that find it hard to keep up to date themselves, or that are tired of the three-to-five-year refresh cycle. It is not intended for small environments.
The data stays within national borders, under European jurisdiction, with parties that customers know and can hold accountable. That makes the platform a link in a more sovereign supply chain. It helps organizations comply with laws and regulations such as NIS2 and DORA, including through encryption of data at rest and in transit, and key management. Responsibility for compliance remains with the organization itself.
Ruben van der Zwan, CEO of Worldstream:
We don’t resell public cloud services. We build our own cloud services in our own data centers, on our own hardware. That makes us a toolbox for companies that build solutions on top of it. ITQ onboards applications and provides the right guarantees for them, at a different level than many other providers. That’s how we complement each other.
Jeffrey Kusters, CTO of ITQ:
We deliver the platform on top of Worldstream’s infrastructure, as part of the services our customers already know, and we manage it completely. This lets IT organizations take on more of an oversight role and spend less time hands-on at the controls.
