How to edit reverse DNS (rDNS)
Quick answer
Go to IP Management → All IPs in Portal, find the address, and select the pencil icon next to it to edit its reverse DNS record.
Reverse DNS (rDNS) maps an IP address back to a hostname. It matters most for outbound mail servers and for services that log or verify connections by hostname. You manage it per address from the IP inventory in Portal, not through a separate DNS zone editor.
Edit reverse DNS
Open IP Management
Log in to portal.worldstream.com and go to IP Management.
Go to All IPs
This tab lists your IP inventory, including source, IP version, and current reverse DNS for each address.
Select the pencil icon
Find the address you want to change and select the pencil icon next to it. Enter the new hostname and save.

Reserved IPs and the grace period
The All IPs list sits alongside Reserved in IP Management. Reserving an IP holds a public IPv4 address indefinitely, with an optional label, until you release it. Direct reservation needs an active Flexible VPS subscription.
When a service holding a public IP is deleted, that address doesn't disappear straight away. It enters a 7-day grace window during which you can either release it or convert it to reserved. Package IPs on Bare Metal servers aren't part of this pool.
