Reading your Worldstream invoice: line items explained
Quick answer
An invoice is built from recurring service charges for the billing period, plus anything billed separately from the base service, such as add-ons and extra IP addresses. Invoices, their status, and downloads live under Billing in Portal.
The core of every invoice: recurring service charges
Most of an invoice is made up of recurring charges, one line per active service, covering the billing period the invoice applies to. Each product you run (a Flexible VPS, a dedicated server, an Object Storage project) generates its own line, so an invoice with several services listed is normal and expected, not a sign that something's been double-billed.
Add-ons and extras: billed apart from the base service
Anything layered on top of a base service is charged on top of the base price rather than being included in it. Common examples:
- Additional or reserved IP addresses. Your first public IP on a Flexible VPS is included; additional IPs, and any reserved IP you keep held for later re-use, are billed monthly on top of the base service.
- Add-on services chosen at order time. Options picked during configuration, such as a control panel licence or a higher DDoS mitigation tier on a dedicated server, are charged on top of the server's base configuration.
VAT and tax handling
Invoices reflect VAT treatment based on your account's registered country and, for business accounts, VAT status. Rather than repeating that logic here, see Value Added Tax (VAT) treatment for how VAT is applied and what determines whether it appears on your invoice.
Where to find your invoices
Invoices live under Billing in Portal, alongside Subscriptions and Payment Methods. The invoice list shows, per invoice: Invoice number, the Server ID it relates to, the date it was created, the pay-before date, the amount, and payment status, with actions to view or download the invoice. You can filter the list by status (Open, Paid, All), narrow it to a specific service, and sort by latest or by due date.
