Deploying your first Flexible VPS
Quick answer
Go to Compute → Flexible VPS → Create VPS in Portal. Fill in the one-page form, check the resource summary, and click Create Virtual Private Server.
Step by step
Open Create VPS
In the sidebar, go to Compute → Flexible VPS and click Create VPS.
Fill in the form
Work through it top to bottom:
- Name: the hostname for this VPS.
- Type: pick a plan preset, or choose custom vCPUs, RAM, and disk. The resource summary updates live as you adjust this.
- Region: pick the data centre closest to your users.
- Install Method: From Template (a supported OS image) or From ISO (an uploaded installer).
- Image or ISO Image: the OS to install. Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Debian, Rocky Linux, and others) and Windows Server editions are shown as image cards. Custom ISOs can be uploaded under ISO Images.
- Network Interfaces: an internet-pool address is auto-assigned. Leave the IP on auto unless you've reserved one in IP Management.
- User Account: username, plus a password and/or SSH key.
- Root Access: optional, a disable-password-login toggle.

Review the resource summary before creating, it reflects the impact of your choices against your plan.
Create the VPS
Click Create Virtual Private Server. The VPS appears in the Flexible VPS list while it provisions. Open it there once it is ready.
Worldstream's Flexible VPS comes in five presets: x-Small, Small, Medium, Large and x-Large, ranging from 1 vCPU/2 GB RAM/40 GB disk up to 8 vCPU/16 GB RAM/320 GB disk, see the table above for the full breakdown. You can also set custom vCPU, RAM, and disk values directly on the Type step.
